In Bibi’s Kitchen

 by @hawahassan with @turshen “the recipes and stories of Grandmothers from the eight African countries that touch the Indian Ocean” made me break my ✨no new cookbooks till this project ends✨ vow again and i’m so glad i did. This is a journey into homes and lives that is so personal, filled with gorgeous photos of the places and people behind these recipes. I love that so many of these are quick, easy and lots of vegetarian/vegan dishes! 

From Kenya: Kunde (black eyed peas and tomatoes in 🥜 sauce) and Sukuma Wiki (greens with tomatoes) served with @zazrestaurant Black Rice and Jollof Rice @suyajoint plus a dash of @tawakalhotsauce 🔥🔥🔥
