Jamie Oliver’s Great Britain

Mulligatawny from @jamieoliver 🇬🇧 a lovely gift from @green_peas03 my dear friend and fellow soup lover! This dish originated with rasam, a sweet/sour South Indian soup- the name derives from the Tamil words “pepper” and “soup” – and was beloved by the British imperialists. I always see this on the menu at Indian restaurants and never think to order it, but this recipe is fantastic with so much rich, complex flavor. If you’re an Anglophile, this book is for you! I especially loved the photos + stories of the farmers, fisherman, mom & pop pubs, and bakeries 🥰
